Race Update from our Driver Kyle Melville, at this weekends Lake Havasu WORCS Race
Hello all,
I am pleased to inform you of our recent finish at Lake Havasu, AZ. for the WORCS Series Round 3.
As we took off with a full line-up of Class 2 RZR’s, we were sixth in to the first turn. Right out of the first corner was two table-top jumps that no one was going for, so I floored it and held on. I quickly moved into fourth position by the second turn, literally pushing third place. As we finished lap one, we hopped back on the motocross section where there was a step-up jump that only a few of the CLass 1′s were jumping. I decided to go for it and made it, getting my RZR into third position. We finished out another two laps chasing second place. Once we caught him, I gave him a few “love taps” to let him know I was there and going to move him if he didn’t move. He failed to pulled off when he had three chances. So, I pushed him for a quarter of a lap until he finally moved, putting us in second postion. By that point, first place was already 20 seconds ahead. I only had one lap left, but I tried my hardest. We made up 8 seconds on first but the checkered flag was out before I could get him. We proudly took 2nd place in our RZR for our sponsors.
We were very impressed with the Dragonfire/ Fox RZR handling what I put it through; jump after jump and whoop after whoop. The ITP tires hooked up awesome in the sand, mud, and rocky terrain that Havasu has to offer. Our RZR was quickly surrounded at the finish by other competitors trying to figure the secrets on the RZR. I quickly replied, it’s all bolt-on parts with a stock motor. There will be video and photos available on ATVriders.com and Vastactionphotos.com within a few days. I will get you copies ASAP.
Kyle
