Dragonfire Racing's New Half Windshield
They say that “half measures avail us nothing,” but when it comes to deflecting dust and wind from a UTV driver’s face, a half windshield trumps a full windscreen any day of the week — and especially weekends.
Contrary to what your brain might be telling you, a half windshield fronting your utility terrain vehicle actually provides more protection than a full-blown windshield.
Why is that, you ask? When you’re in motion — and why wouldn’t you be in motion? — dust and wind deflect over the driver’s and passenger’s head when a half windshield is installed. The disadvantage of a full windshield is that that same dirt and wind is sucked back into the vehicle. As a bonus, the half windshield style also keeps engine heat and smells from entering your “personal space” in the vehicle.
Dragonfire Racing has just released a half windshield that is custom cut to fit your RZR, Teryx or Rhino. Made of tough Lexan, the half shield includes a graphic at the bottom that cuts down on dashboard glare. A lip at the top reduces vibration and increases protection. And all the necessary mounting hardware is included.
