Leave it to our designers to make a child’s UTV harness both good-looking and functional enough to make a difference. A perfect fit for the new Ranger RZR 170, the new Dragonfire 2″ 4-point Harness for Kids looks just like the grownup version — you know, the wildly popular, sturdy, padded, sewn in, four-point sternum strap belt.

For the most part, we’re talking about a dimensional change here. That’s all. In fact, it’s a “Honey, I Shrunk the Harness” version of the DFR big boy harness, making the restraint a much better fit for children and adults under 90 pounds. For instance, the belts are two-inches wide instead of three inches, but the safety considerations are a clone of the original.

A four-point harness keeps your smaller passenger from slippin’ and slidin’ around in his or her seat, increasing the comfort level. And by limiting the movement, you limit the abrasions caused by constant jouncing in a standard wide-style harness.

And finally, since stock UTV seats don’t allow a seatbelt to run through the seat itself, the new Dragonfire Racing Youth Model Harness mounts each shoulder harness behind the seat. A sternum strap connects the two shoulder straps, preventing them from slipping off your smaller rider.
