DFR Scores a Triple Win for the 2011 GNCC Season

We’re not really big on coincidences here at DragonFire Racing, so when it turns out that the top three winning machines in the 2011 GNCC championship are decked out with a raft of our racing components, we’re thinking we’re on the right track.

The 2011 GNCC season wrapped up at the “Ironman GNCC ” late last month in Crawfordsville, Ind., with our own sponsored rider, William Yokley, walking off with the open modified UTV title in his National Guard Polaris Coastal DragonFire racer. This championship is the second in a row for Yokley, and his calculated second-place finish in the Crawfordsville race gave him enough points to seal the deal in his Ranger RZR XP 900.

Although Team Hendershot won the final race, Yokley amassed the points to edge out his imposing father/son competitors. Yokley Racing’s Scott Kiger finished third for the day and for the entire season — hanging close behind Yokley most of the year.

But the real winner for the day — and the season — was DragonFire with all three of the podium winners competing in machines that featured DFR components. That’s a win, place and show in our books… and we couldn’t be prouder!

All three of the winning machines were modified with (more…)

DragonFire Racing is on the Move

Like everything else we do around here at DragonFire Racing, speed and perfection top the charts when it comes to priorities. That holds true for our equipment and more recently, in the expansion of our headquarters in Mesa, Ariz.

We’ve been in the performance UTV industry ever since there was a performance UTV industry, and we know what works and what doesn’t work. And with the rapid growth of the company and a large inventory, it became apparent that we were all bumping into each other in some pretty tight quarters.

So, in typical DragonFire Racing fashion, we jumped right into expansion mode, moving into an adjoining 3,700-square-foot warehouse and moving our inventory and shipping department right in. When you’re in the business of building top-of-the-line racing equipment, you learn a thing or two about efficiency. And you learn that procrastination is a dirty, filthy 14-letter word.

With this move we were able to (more…)

First, Second Finishes in Round 7 of WORCS for DragonFire Racers

Glen Helen Raceway in Devore, Calif., was the seventh stop of nine in the 2011 WORCS series last weekend, and DragonFire Racing drivers William Yokley and Kyle Melville held their own in a packed field of 42 UTVs.

In the Class 1 competition, Yokley was first off the line, finding himself in the fourth position after the world-famous Talladega first turn. He showed all of us how well the DragonFire XP 955 Big Bore worked up the massive first hill, passing on the outside to take second position.

By keeping his head down and fighting it out, Yokley crossed the finish line in second place, which makes him the series points leader with a 36-point lead over second place holder Mark Holz and only two more rounds to go.

Over in Class 2, Melville put the power down and got himself a hole shot into Turn One. Starting in the second row of 12 UTVs in his class, he had his work cut out for him. But our racer chased down the field with nothing more than bolt-on DragonFire performance and suspension. Melville drove a great race, fighting his way through the pack to take a (more…)

Click above for a copy of the 2012 DragonFire Racing Catalog

We’re calling our just-published 2012 product catalog Feel the Heat, and DragonFire Racing released this archive of awesome accessories at the recent Sand Sports Super Show in Costa Mesa, Calif., where copies flew out of our booth like they were free — which, of course, they were.

At 52 pages, all in brilliant color, the new catalog is more than double the size of the largest catalog we’ve produced to date. Best yet, it’s available — yes, for free — in two parts as a PDF download. Just visit http://www.dragonfireracing.com/2009-dragonfire-racing-product-catalog.aspx to access the catalog for yourself.

If your nature is more tactile and you feel a need to be able to actually touch pages, you can request a hard copy of the 2012 DragonFire Racing catalog by visiting our offices in Mesa, Ariz., or calling us at (800) 708-9803. Or, we suppose, you could print out the PDF, but that’s going to take a lot of ink.

But once this beauty is in your hands — or on your computer screen — the first thing you’re going to think is, “Boy, those guys at DragonFire Racing sure have some good magazine designers on staff.” That’s because there are hundreds of photographs of UTVs in the desert, UTVs in the air, and UTVs in the forest.

And parts. Lots of parts. All accompanied by descriptions about what the product does and how it’s attached. The catalog starts out, appropriately enough, with a history of the company. That’s followed by our newest/hot products. Other sections of the catalog include: (more…)
